THE LEAF OF LIFE
Dangling earrings, 14-karat yellow gold
The Leaf of Life is the last object from the "The Leaves of Peace" Collection. It was modelled on the leaf of a large rubber plant, which was plucked in Syracuse, Sicily right in front of the Our Lady of Tears Church. A miracle occurred there in 1953 when a statue of the Virgin Mary wept tears for three days.
The leaf is dedicated to all women for only they are able to give birth to new life. It is also dedicated to everyone who wholeheartedly strives for peace, love, non-violence and new life.
The Leaf of Life gold jewellery set consists of a ring, a longer necklace, and two different types of earrings. The ring is made to be worn over two fingers, and the earrings are either small leaves worn on the earlobe, or large dangling earrings made to be worn individually or in combination with the ring. Matt golden surfaces of the ring subtly reflect the light, telling the story of Oskar Kogoj.
