ROYAL HORSE LIPIZZANER – GILT PIN BADGE

Symbol of power, nobility, beauty, goodness, transformation, spirituality ...

(pin for a tie, jacket, dress, scarf ..., 2 cm x 2 cm, metal, gilding (18ct gold))

The Lipizzan horse is a spiritual, ballet horse, also distinguished by the power that this horse possesses.
The Lipizzaner is a native breed of hot-tempered horses, which are the oldest in the world. Our ancestors developed the breed by crossing the native Karst breed with noble Arabic and Spanish stallions. THE WHITE HORSE is the symbol of symbols, which represents to Slovenians as well as to the European and World cultural heritage a living example of the spirituality and excellent animal power of man. The Lipizzan horse is associated with the development of man – from animal nature to divine knowledge, from BLACK to divine WHITE. The Lipizzan horse is born black and turns white as it grows older. Such a transformation represents the transformation of the human, animal nature into the divine knowledge of cosmic human values.
Our ancestors believed the white horse to be God Himself... They taught it to stand on two legs and use its raised third leg for balance. This pose is supposed to represent the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the HOLY TRINITY or TRIGLAV (three heads). The LIPIZZAN HORSE is thus considered a spiritual horse and also a working horse.
In the past, many ancient parishes in the area of the settlement of Slovenian people in Central Europe were dedicated to St. George on a WHITE HORSE (a symbol of early Christianity). St. George on a white horse kills the dragon, which implies that man must conquer his EGO during his lifetime. He must become God in the divine creation of the unified cosmic consciousness.
Archduke Charles, ruler of Inner Austria (Carantania), established a stud farm at Lipica in the Karst area in 1580. One of the most precious horses he brought there was the Andalusian stallion named Pluta. The basic breed of horses was the domestic ancient white horse, which was persistent, strong and had a high gait. This breed was then crossed with the Spanish and Arabic, particularly the Iberian, but also with the Neapolitan and Polesine. The stud farm reached the peak of its development under the rule of the Emperor Charles VI and the daughter of the Empress Maria Theresa. The famous Spanish Riding School was established in Vienna in 1752 when the Lipizzan horse first appeared. The Lipizzaner became a noble and military horse.
The Lipizzaner is impossible to describe – when it appears, it enchants with its beauty, intelligence, its freedom and is like a divine horse. That is exactly what our ancestors tried to communicate to their descendants. This horse carries a deeper meaning that can help man to develop and acquire knowledge of himself, to discover the goodness and beauty in his spirituality for he is the UNIVERSE.
The home of the Lipizzan is the village of LIPICA. Its name is derived from the ancient symbol of the Slovenian people – the linden tree (lipa), which also represents everything BEAUTIFUL or WHITE.
