Lingam has an egg-shaped form, which is the most perfect, mathematical elliptical form on Earth.
The shape of an egg has always represented the God that has no shape. All shapes come from it and return into it. Therefore "Everything is nothing and nothing is everything."
On the 15th of February 1999 at 6:21 AM, the artist and his wife Tatjana were in Puttaparthi, where they saw the teacher Sai Baba give birth to the LINGAM golden egg through his mouth. This ceremony of creation called LINGODBHAWA can only be performed by a POORNA AVATAR – a deity incarnated in human flesh. This is the mystery of the man-God!
This cup has been designed to commemorate the vision and the memory of a real miracle, and it contains the deepest understanding and awareness of the NATURE of man on Earth. We thank BHAGAVAN SRI SATHYI SAI BABA for his permission to make a REPLICA of this golden egg and the cup modelled based upon it!
