LEADERSHIOP STICK WITH MURANO GLASS
Murrine and the artistic touch of venetian energy.
(h = 134 cm, height with the base = 137 cm, wood, murano glass)
The stick has accompanied mankind in all
civilisations. Man has used the stick as a tool, as domination over herds of
animals. It has been used by people with authority, either as a status symbol
or, because of their age, as a walking aid. It has also been used as a weapon,
for entertainment, for sport, for magical purposes and more. Its role ranges
from ceremonial, military, judicial, educational, sporting, medical and the
list goes on. But it also has a deeper, spiritual meaning.
Rama 18,000 years ago, at 4.30 metres tall, also had
his stick. Jesus had a stick, shepherds had sticks and our ancestors in the
peasant culture also respected what the stick represented and used them. All
the avatars had their sticks, as did the chiefs, the holy men. Through the
stick the energy of the hand is released and thus achieves a certain purpose,
including healing.
Research into trees, living beings, rocks, the cosmos,
spiritual vibrations... all this belongs to design. It has been done by all
previous civilisations known to us. Plants in nature evolve in relation to the
soil, water and sun, and especially how they are "embraced" by the
wind or even the bora wind.
"I like to walk in wild nature, by the sea, in
the Karst... and in doing so I find phenomenal forms of nature where the tree
suffers from the bora wind and other natural phenomena, rocks, cliffs... I
choose my sticks intuitively, not by reason. This is how a large collection of
interesting sticks has emerged, from the Vipava river, the Soča river and the
Nadiža, the Mediterranean, the Karst and also other parts of the world.
My meditation is to find a stick that has a special
energy. It's also a matter of feeling it through my hands. Every designer,
artist, should work with his hands, otherwise he cannot get the right shape.
This is my meditation and the calming of my mind through the visual development
of forms. Through research I have found that every form has its own energy. If
we want a shape to be positive, it has to have a positive vibration. This way
of working is confirmed by the latest research of my works at the BION
Institute, where clinical studies have been carried out on the influence of the
shapes of these products on the human organism, proving that they have a
positive effect on the human organism and its functioning, and support it
energetically.
The sticks are different, no two are the same, and so
they capture the different latent energy that a human being can use. The chosen
stick is best suited to the person's character and energy. Thus it can also be
used for sacred purposes, purifying energies, but always with good intentions,
for the good of the person.
What is hidden in these forms? These are the secrets
of my whole life and all the vibrations that these forms carry, I symbolically
transfer them into the form of useful and decorative products that our sales
gallery offers. Each stick is different, unique and carries its own message,
its own energy and is dedicated to the individual who receives it. They are all
hand-worked, numbered and signed."
UNIQUE LEADERSHIP STICK NUMBER 2
Leadership
stick number 2 is personalised and enriched with added Murano glass murrines. Murrine
is the Italian term for slices of multicoloured glass rods. These are made by
covering the hot glass drawn into a thin rod with new, differently coloured
layers of glass, or by fusing several coloured glass rods into one larger one.
These rods are then cut into pieces or slices, and the cross-section can be cut
into an infinite variety of shapes and motifs. The individual murrines
can then be assembled into a whole by placing them in a mould, which is then
heated to the melting point of the glass. In this way, a millefiori
product is obtained, the so-called 'mosaic glass'. This technique of working
glass was known in ancient times, but it was most widespread and recognised in
the Venetian workshops on the island of Murano.
Murrine
glassmaking is a very old and complex technique that has been handed down from
generation to generation, thus preserving cultural heritage.
Oskar
Kogoj studied and spent part of his life in Venice, in this beautiful,
mystical, studious, architecturally enriched city, where today important
events, exhibitions and world-class events take place. Venice has historical
and cultural significance.
A member of the Venetian school of art, whose
talent was recognised at an early age, he himself had numerous exhibitions in
Venice. His sense of aesthetics, precision in craftsmanship and knowledge of
tradition opened the door to palaces otherwise inaccessible to the public.
The
Kogoj's stick is enriched with real Murano murrini, made according to
the ancient principle of hand-pulling the rods, a great, great rarity in this
way of making today. They are 80 years old and carry the genuine energy of
creation, of making products with soul, passion, love and compassion for art.
This enchanting colourfulness of murrines gives us a feeling of
freshness, playfulness, joy, joyfulness and captures the whole psychological
meaning of colours. The effect of white is calmness, purification, grace, while
blue is relaxation, serenity, sensuality, peace, trust... Each colour has its
own meaning.
The
stick has the energy of creation, a love of the artistic Venetian touch that
only special souls with special thinking can understand.
THE LEADERSHIP STICK IS
